The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is the oldest specialized agency of the United Nations which was established through the United Nations Conference on Food and Agriculture in 1943. FAO primarily aims to eradicate world hunger and improve human nutrition through the innovation and modernization of the agriculture, fisheries, and forestry sector in developed and developing nations alike. FAO plays a key role in further researches and implementation measures of policies on the aforementioned sectors.
